Monk In The World

To be a monk is to have time to practice for your transformation and healing. And after that to help with the transformation and healing of other people.

Lusting- A nod (bow) to Dosho

I have been saving up for the IPad2 for about six months. No, I never had the original IPad. On the way over to the Apple store yesterday my mind was crazy! Should I get the 16 or 32? What is the difference? Do I really need all that space? Should I get the leather cover or the cheaper one? Which one would look the best? Great faith, Great Doubt! Is this ordinary mind?

I got to the store. I handled some "pads" and then ask the Tech Guy which he thought I should use. He helped me clarify this most important life decision. He goes back to check the stock and tells me all he has is a 64. Can't go there! He suggest I order one online. I thanked the guy and returned home.

All the way home I am feeling a little crazy. A little weird. I am amazed how worked up my mind got over this item. I have to admit, just going there and holding it and looking around took some of the energy out of the lust magnet.

I get home. I go online. I choose the 16 and the black leather cover. Go through all the steps to purchase then I ship the thing to my daughter's house. I had to let go of this crazy mind. I hope she enjoys it.

Can I tell you how freeing that was?!  Maybe I'll get myself one someday. But today my life is just fine!

Bows,
Alan
